Julia Child
Last month I began a yearlong photo series that all started with my little friend Amelia and my interest in Amelia Earhart. I wanted to do a photo session in honor the anniversary of Amelia’s 122nd birthday. That session was the start to my yearlong photo project where I will pick an inspirational woman in history to honor.
I have chosen Julia Child for my August pick, she was an easy choice for me because I’ve always looked at her an amazing and inspirational woman who was a trailblazer in her field. Julia Child was passionate about food and cooking and sought to share her love of food with others through teaching and making complicated recipes fun and accessible. So many great chefs and home cooks have learned cooking through her and her book Mastering the Art of French Cooking
Julia was passionate about what she did but never took herself or what she did too seriously. I think we can all learn a lesson from her.
