First Birthday Cake Smash
Your baby is turning ONE and it’s time to celebrate!
Cake smash sessions are the best with Blue Truck Photography! Things are done a little differently with us. Not only do you receive cake smash photos but you also will receive the traditional one-year photos and tub time photos! Your traditional one-year photos are creative, unique, yet classic. This is the perfect time to capture the mischievous grin, a tooth poking through, those chubby baby toes and fingers, long lashes and sweet smiles! Time for the cake smash. That says it all. Cake Smash. Then the Blue Truck special touch. Tub time!! At Blue Truck Photography we were the first to add tub time and still the best at it. Out comes the warm soapy water, bubble machine and lots of fun.
How we do it at Blue Truck Photography
Step 1: The Consultation
When you schedule your session, we will chat about your vision for your session. We will chat about the theme for the cake smash, location, and outfits. If you have a Pinterest board with ideas I love to see it or we can create one together. I recommend 2-3 outfits for the portrait part of your session, then we design the perfect cake! I work with the best bakeries to make the perfect cake for your once in a lifetime milestone photo session! The cakes truly are amazing!
Step 2: The Session
During the session, which lasts 60-90 minutes, we’ll have a blast creating the perfect images for your home and gifts. I have so many props to pick from! Blankets, stools, boxes, chairs, toys, crates (really too many props to list) you are also welcome to bring your own if you would like to include them in your portraits. A special family heirloom, military uniform, or a favorite stuffed animal is the perfect addition to your session. First is your one-year photos. then the cake smash. After all the fun with the cake, we move on to tub time. Blue Truck Photography has the most beautiful vintage tubs for your little one to splash around in. It is the perfect end to your little one’s session and you take home a clean baby!! it’s a win-win!
Step 3: Your Reveal
About 2-3 weeks after your session, we’ll get together again for the big reveal! This is where I get to show off your beautiful images while you sip on a coffee, glass of wine, beer. My clients absolutely LOVE my attention to detail and the way I bring their vision to life. I can’t wait to create amazing images and capture your little one too!
